Vegetarian tapas in Edinburgh
Cheese, eggs, potatoes and vegetables, cooked the Spanish way in a family kitchen on Howden Street.
Some of the best-known tapas in Spain have never had meat in them: a wedge of tortilla, a plate of patatas bravas, Manchego with quince. At Tapas Tres those are where a lot of our tables begin, whether or not anyone sitting there is vegetarian.
We are a family-run Spanish restaurant in Edinburgh’s Southside, open since October 2019. Of the 27 dishes on our food menu, 14 are vegetarian. They are marked V, and the ones marked VG are vegan, which makes them vegetarian too, so we have listed both together below, exactly as they appear on the menu today, from the olives to the churros.
The rest of the menu is meat and fish, and the kitchen is a shared one, so read the allergen note under the list if that matters to you.

Putting together a vegetarian table
Order three or four plates each and share them. For two, try the Tabla de Quesos with a basket of sourdough, a tortilla, the bravas and the burrata, then add the butternut squash salad with goats cheese and pomegranate if there is still room. If someone at the table is vegan, the aubergine and the calçots keep everyone eating from the same plates.
